Flood Recovery Grants for Primary Producers

Burnett Mary Regional Group and Burnett Catchment Care Association are delivering projects from the Queensland and Australian Government’s On-farm Productivity and Riparian Recovery program to assist primary producers to recover from flooding caused by ex-Tropical cyclone Oswald.

Applications for grants up to a maximum of $10,000 (GST exclusive) are now available.

Land managers in priority areas (Burnett and Kolan catchments), that were impacted by the 2013 flooding are encouraged to apply for funds to restore the productivity and condition of agricultural land.

Priority areas are:

1. Three Moon Floodplain - North Burnett from Cania to south of Mulgildie

2. Lower Burnett Floodplain - Bundaberg region from Wallaville to Burnett Heads

3. Lower Kolan Floodplain – Bucca to Avondale
