Land Productivity
Stabilisating and remediating eroded, waterlogged, and flood impacted paddocks is critical for the long term sustainability of cropping industries and the economic resilience of the community.
The Land Productivity project provides one-on-one, on-ground technical support to landholders for rehabilitation of soil fertility, hill slope erosion, soil conservation works and planning. The program also includes training and awareness programs in erosion management, layout design and agronomic practices.
Advice on issues such as salinity, nutrient loss and increasing soil productivity is available through BMRG's technical staff and a series of workshops will be rolled out throughout the region to assist landholders with land productivity issues.
