Burnett Mary Reef Partnership - Grazing
Grazing is the largest agricultural industry in the Burnett Mary Region, both in value and land area. The grazing industry is represented by two geographic partners in the Burnett Mary Reef Partnership; the Burnett Catchment Care Association and the Mary River Catchment Coordinating Committee, supported by the Burnett Mary Regional Group.
Sustainable Grazing & Support for Graziers
Through the Burnett Mary Reef Partnership and with investment from the Australian Government's Reef Programme, graziers in the region are able to access support to improve land management. This investment will support activities which improve farm sustainability and improve reef water quality by reducing sediment loss.
If you are a grazier in the Baffle, Kolan, Burnett (downstream of Paradise Dam), Burrum Basin or Mary River Catchments, you may be eligible for financial assistance to carry out a variety of property improvements. Your eligibility will depend on the type of activities you wish to undertake. If you would like to know more please contact the relevant officer in your area from the table below.
