Bio:

Sydney’s passion for nature conservation and threatened species ecology has taken her across Australia. Having completed her Honours research on the freshwater turtles of the Mary River, she has returned to the region from Darwin where she completed a PhD on threatened Finch species.

She is excited for the opportunity to return to the Burnett-Mary region to work on the wide variety of species found here. She looks forward to working together with traditional owners, stakeholders, research groups and anyone with a common interest of helping and preserving the environment.
