GRASS Workshop

The GRASS program supports graziers to identify opportunities to improve any areas of poor (C) or degraded (D) land on their property. Extension officers work with graziers to develop and implement a tailor-made action plan for land management. The focus is to maintain or improve land condition and reduce soil loss, whilst improving pasture composition and overall productivity of the beef business.

Topics discussed include:

• Improving Land Condition

• Remote monitoring using Satellite imagery

• Understanding what is required under Reef Regulations

• Business resilience & recovery planning

• Property infrastructure and land type maps

The GRASS program is funded through the Queensland Government’s Queensland Reef Water Quality Program and delivered by the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF) and BMRG.

Please RSVP by September 12th.

Property visits to follow the week of the workshop. Numbers are limited so get in early.

To register or receive more information call BMRG on 07 4181 2999 or email admin@bmrg.org.au
