Learn how to create a fire management plan for your property at this free Property Fire Management Planning Workshop in the North Burnett Regional Council area.
The workshop will provide information to landholders and guidance on creating individual fire management plans with the use of a map specific to each property. These plans aim to mitigate the risks associated with bushfires, with a focus on helping communities safeguard individual and collective properties.
As maps will be provided, registration for this event is necessary.
Representatives from the Queensland Fire & Biodiversity Consortium, Burnett Mary Regional Group and Rural Fire Service Queensland will share information about their roles and offer advice about planning for the approaching fire season.
What to expect from the session:
Create a fire management plan.
Access local support and resources from your council.
Work on a map of your property.
Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
