Bio:

Tom has over 17 years’ experience working primarily as an aquatic ecologist with added exposure to most facets of the water industry. Environmental flow research and its incorporation into water management has been a key focus including work on threatened species. These species have included the Australian lungfish, white-throated snapping turtle, Mary River turtle, Mary River cod and golden perch across the Fitzroy, Burnett and Mary catchments. Environmental flows for estuaries and Groundwater Dependent Ecosystems are another key focus, along with the ongoing incorporation of Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) into all facets of natural resource management.
